The Reason Why

I grab her hand and say don’t touch.
I love her oh so very much.
I try to tell her the reason why.
But she just looks at me and starts to cry.
The pain in her sobs cuts like a knife.
I never felt so bad in all my life.
She reaches up for me to hold.
This moment in time can not be told.
She hugs my neck and holds on tight.
My heart is breaking with all its might.
I know that plug could have hurt her bad.
So why am I feeling oh so sad.
Holding her close saying Daddy loves you.
I wish there was more that I could  do.
She looks at me her tears are going.
In her eyes her love is showing.
I put her down to run and play.
But this time in my heart will always stay.

What tears are for

You sit alone and start to cry,
Knowing not the reason why.
The tears are flowing down your check,
A voice behind you begins to speak.
You quickly wipe away a tear,
Hoping he did not hear.
He comes to you and holds you tight,
Telling you that everything’s alright.
Now once more you start to cry,
This time you know the reason why.
You see your hearts found love once more,
So now you know what the tears are for.

No matter what, No matter where

We’ve been so close for many years,
It’s hard to hold back all the tears.
So I sit and touch your hand,
Trying hard to understand.
I pray to God and ask him why,
He fills my heart with days gone by.
I learn your love was always there,
No matter what, No matter where.
I really I have to let you go,
But first I want to let you know.
My love for you will never die,
Even when you say good-bye.
So on that day Gods light you see,
Go to him, It was meant to be.
His angels will come and show you the way,
While in my heart you will always stay.
The love will be down oh so deep,
I will not forget even though I weep.
So just remember one last thing.
I’ll always love you, I’ll always care,
No matter what, No matter where.

The Door

As I reach to open the door,
I know I have been here sometime before.
I turn the knob with all my might,
Now my mind is filled with fright.
I look around to find the key,
But it’s no-where that I can see.
I try to run and knock it down,
But I just end up on the ground.
As I sit and try to stand,
Someone reaches out their hand.
I ask him how he got in here,
He says he never left I should not fear.
I take his hand and slowly rise,
The love is deep within his eyes.
I ask him why he's here with me,
but I know it's where he is meant to be.
I say long ago I locked the door,
So I wouldn't see you anymore.
Now when I try to break it down,
I see the key you must have found.
He says the door was never locked,
For by my side he’s always walked.
You see the door was to my heart,
And he has been there right from the start.

Thank you God for being with me

MY MOTHERS SPECIAL GIFT

As I sit here thinking of the days gone by.
I begin to shake and I begin to cry.
I remember a special gift my mother gave to me.
How it went right to my heart where it was meant to be.
Oh it wasn't made of diamonds or it wasn't made of gold.
Oh it wasn't made of paper and it wasn't really old.
You see it had no value to any one but me.
Though it really helped to set me free.
Oh I remember that special gift as though I got it yesterday.
How she made sure I had it before she passed away.
You see her days were numbered and the end was near.
Though I never told anybody I was full of fear.
For I knew my mom was dying and there was nothing I could do.
I had seen all the pain and suffering that she had to go through.
I remember thinking why couldn't it be me.
For everybody loved her but no one cared for me.
Then one day it happened, to the hospital she did go.
The ambulance came and got her but it seemed really slow.
That night the doctor told us there was nothing he could do.
At the most she had left a day or maybe two.
The next day I went to see her in her hospital bed.
That is when to my younger brother she lovingly said.
Please let your older brother kiss me good-bye last.
For you have always gotten it in the days that past.
Then I bent and kissed her and the fear inside did go.
For I knew shed always love me that kiss had told me so.
You see it wasn't made of diamonds or it wasn't made of gold.
But it had more value than anything that is sold.
That night as I lay thinking of that special kiss we shared.
I knew deep in my heart just how much she really cared.
At that very moment I looked into the sky.
There was a new star shinning my mother said good-bye.

I WILL LOVE YOU ALWAYS MOM
